ARMORED FRESH has been selling its self-developed vegan cheese in over 200 specialty food stores in New York since its first entry into the US, the world's largest vegan population, last year. Focusing on local marts in New York, ARMORED FRESH has started expanding its distribution network across the US by placing its new product "American Slice" vegan cheese in Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the US.
Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the US, where ARMORED FRESH has newly entered, is a giant distribution company with over 3,000 stores across the US and an annual revenue of $137.8 billion (approximately KRW 18 trillion). It is one of the largest distribution chains in the US, along with Walmart and Costco, with a particular strength in the grocery retail and supermarket sectors.
ARMORED FRESH is a food tech company in South Korea that has recently been able to enter the US market through a partnership with Kroger, one of the largest distribution companies in the US. ARMORED FRESH's product, "American Slice," has a great advantage in its "melting point," which allows it to have a soft and chewy texture while maintaining its flavor. Kroger has recognized the quality of ARMORED FRESH's products and actively promoted their partnership. ARMORED FRESH's products will be sold in over 170 Kroger stores, including the King Sooper stores in Colorado and the Fred Meyer stores in Oregon.
Sara Jo, the head of ARMORED FRESH's overseas business team, expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to enter the US market through Kroger, especially during the current global economic downturn. She also mentioned that ARMORED FRESH plans to expand its online and offline distribution channels to make its products more easily accessible to US consumers. In addition, ARMORED FRESH has recently donated $240,000 worth of its vegan cheese to City Harvest, the largest food rescue organization in New York, to help those in need.
ARMORED FRESH plans to continue its business expansion and pursue its ultimate goal of protecting human health through various activities.
