- YANGYOO draws attention at the CES 2022 'Food Technology' section, and is the first Korean company to participate with plant-based cheese
- High interest in self-developed plant-based cheese and hot responses such as product inquiries continue
Visitors gathered at the "YANGYOO" booth at the "CES 2022," held in Las Vegas on the 6th (local time), are looking at the "ARMORED FRESH Plant-based Cheese" product.
YANGYOO first unveiled plant-based cheese developed by its U.S. subsidiary "ARMORED FRESH" at a booth on the tech west side of "CES 2022 (FOOD TECHNOLOGY section).
"ARMORED FRESH Plant-based Cheese," introduced by YANGYOO at the event, features both taste and nutrition that vegan cheese has not been able to achieve through its own fermentation technology. In particular, it boasts a protein content of almost the same level as animal cheese (up to 20% per 100g). In addition, unlike conventional vegan cheese made using coconut oil, Armored Fresh’s plant-based cheese is made using a Keymix developed by the company itself based on almond milk, providing a soft texture and savory flavor that is comparable to that of regular cheese.
At the event, YANGYOO exhibited plant-based cheese products in eight flavors, including plain, strawberry, blueberry, citron, garlic hub, spicy jalapenos, injeolmi, salted caramel, and chocolate, in a total of six types, including slice, shredded, Camembert, and Burrata. In addition, visitors to the booth were given an explanation about the brand and products, and many visitors took the chance to try a sample.
Many foreign visitors to the site were interested in the products, and inquired how the fermentation process worked. As those at the booth watched on intently to hear the story of "ARMORED FRESH Plant-based Cheese," they also gave favorable reviews of the taste and flavors. In addition, those who participated in the game to save the earth and environment through the QR code printed at the front of the booth also shows high engagement.
"With interest in alternative foods growing, we will introduce plant-based cheese for the first time in Korea in the 'Food Technology' field, which was first established at CES 2022, and we are very encouraged by global visitors' interest in 'ARMORED FRESH Vegan Cheese,' and we will do our best to captivate the domestic and global markets."
Meanwhile, YANGYOO, which successfully completed its participation in CES 2022, aims to attract investment in the first quarter of 2022, and will start operating in the domestic and global markets. In addition, early this year, the company plans to launch products using plant-based cheese through its own brands, YOUNG MAN DDUK and SPACEMAN PIZZA, and launch flavors sequentially, starting from plain in the first half of the year.
