YANGYOO proves the trend with 'Plant-based cheese' at the largest food fair in the U.S

- The taste and texture similar to actual cheese led to inquiries about products that are well received by buyers around the world

Food tech company YANGYOO proved the popularity of vegan food by receiving high response from visitors at the 2022 Winter Fancy Food Show, the largest food fair in the United States, which ended on the 8th (local time).

The ‘2022 Winter Fancy Food Show’, held in Las Vegas for the first time in about two years in the aftermath of COVID-19, was operated with more than 1,200 booths, and with more than 44,000 industry experts from 35 countries participating. In particular, amid the recent growth of the vegan market, the vegan alternative foods proved popular with their taste and excellence.

YANGYOO introduced a plant-based cheese product developed by the U.S. corporation "ARMORED FRESH." Unlike conventional vegan cheese, which is often made using coconut oil, "ARMORED FRESH Plant-based Cheese" is produced by utilizing the same fermentation process as natural cheese. This is done by having Keymix developed on almond milk, with a taste and texture very similar to that of regular cheese, as the base and key ingredient. The plant-based cheese by ARMORED FRESH also contains a high protein content of up to 20% per 100g, capturing both taste and nutrition.

At the event, YANGYOO set up a booth in the international hall and introduced vegan cheese products and sampled cube cheese products to provide brand experience opportunities. It also presented three types of vegetable cream rice cakes from its brand YOUNG MAN DDUK, signaling a change coming to dessert brands as well.


The YANGYOO booth was visited by attendees to taste vegan cheese throughout the event. Due to the nature of the event, where most of the visitors are workers in the food industry, YANGYOO was flooded with inquiries from global buyers who visited the site.

YANGYOO's International Business team leader said, "The event's host Specialty Food Association (SFA) selected Vegan as the most notable food industry this year,” and YANGYOO’S plant-based cheese was especially popular as an alternative dairy product.
